I love all the weird facts from history that make it so much fun.

     Thought I’d share a few of my favorites with you over the next few weeks. Enjoy!


Was Napoleon fond of chocolate?

It was reported that Napoleon carried chocolate with him on his military campaigns, and always ate it when he needed a boost of energy. 

Is gold good for arthritis?

In medieval Europe, alchemists mixed powdered gold into drinks to “comfort sore limbs,” one of the earliest references to arthritis. 

How did Egyptian women wear their hair?

In 1500 B.C. in Egypt, a shaved head was considered the ultimate in feminine beauty. Egyptian women removed every hair from their heads with special gold tweezers and polished their scalps to a high sheen with buffing cloths.
